SELF: A SELF-PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT

At the beginning of 2017 I was thinking of new projects and setting intentions for the year ahead. The days were heavy as only January knows, and I was itching for something to do. And so, in light of a muse of my own I turned the camera on myself.

This collection is something and nothing: sometimes observational, others metaphorical, and often logistically challenging, like when balancing a tripod on the bed and assuming a natural position! An exploration of self through the camera. There are limitations and then there is openness. There is humour, joy and acceptance, and then there is reflection. One thing is for sure; there is definitely no pouting. Take from it what you will, give to it what you can.
